Armenian Center for Underwater Research and Diving (CARPS)
The Armenian Center for Underwater Research and Diving (CARPS) is an apolitical non-profit and general interest association, which was created on December 29, 2011, in Yerevan and was officially registered on March 7, 2012. It is submitted to the Armenian legislation relating to non-governmental organizations.
The CARPS was created following the French-Armenian underwater missions initiated in 2010 by the Center for Research and Subaqueous Diving (CRPS) and its President, Claude Touloumdjian.
The CARPS is aimed at the development of underwater diving in Armenia and the underwater funds exploration for the Republic of Armenia for the benefit of Armenian and international scientists.
The CARPS’s activities are defined in four main directions.
– Scientific research activities,
– Diving development;
– Publications for scientists, as well as for the broad public,
– National and international cooperation.
